Miscellany Monday {One for One Winner}

"For nothing is impossible with God."
Luke 1:37
Today marks one year since my tall boy suffered a spontaneous pneumothorax and landed himself a near vacation in our small town hospital. I entered January this year with much hesitation of what could come. Last year it was a doozey, and no one wants a repeat of that. Amen.

Of course, God is still good, and mighty and faithful, and He was the whole time.

Jordan aced his driver's permit test on Friday and is now settling into pushing the brake with every other breath. Lucky for me, his daddy is not only a teacher, coach and referee, but also a driver's ed instructor.

I am off the hook.

In the land of well and good and tea parties, we are taking absolutely nothing less than serious. My weekend including sewing some fancy place mats for our table: two on the sewing machine and the other two by hand.

They are adorable, if I do say so myself! Thank goodness we're not being picky about straight lines and fancy stitching.

My Kelly-girl friend sent me some Starbucks love a while back. It's been tucked inside my purse waiting for the perfect day to celebrate. Since you all have completely knocked my socks off with your abundance of generosity and love, my feet were a bit chilly so I got myself a treat! Hooray!

I'm not a coffee drinker, and I usually get a cold non-coffee drink at Starbucks, but this day: Caramel Macchiato. #yesplease

Before Christmas we began to think about a new bed for our girl. She wasn't comfortable in a toddler bed anymore and a big girl bed was surely just around the corner.  Her room is done in owls and I wanted to stick with that. She was gifted two sets of sheets and a lovely wall hanging by a church group for Christmas. One sheet set was bearing the lovely owl motif. A few weeks later a friend from church asked if we wanted her daughter's lovely owl quilt that matched the sheets. Yes! We had a headboard tucked away in the garage to refinish but still lacked the frame and mattress. Riley had bunk beds and was very smitten with them. We weren't planning to change that. And then, one day, out of the blue, Riley says he's ready to take his beds down and BAM! just like that our girl has a big girl bed. The Lord provides. Amen.

Wait... Do you recognize that wreath?

Oh and hey, thanks again. You guys are the best.

I am not even kidding!

Giving Rock Stars.

The winner of the giveaway was Lynnette W.!
